Eddie Bauer | High Jinx Footwear
With the launch of a new Eddie Bauer footwear collection, the High Jinx featured four distinct styles; a clog, a flip-flop, a hiker, and a sneaker. The challenge was to capture an elevated look for the collection in-studio, to position the brand as a leader in the footwear space while connecting the product with a singular visual narrative across site, email, and social channels (and across multiple seasons).
Movement and Materials
We explored many ways to communicate the footwear but what resonated the most was emphasizing movement with materials that nodded to the product’s use. The hiker is an active shoe meant for trails, so it is the fastest piece, kicking dirt in a deconstructed scene of a nature walk. The flip-flop separates you from hot sand and is literally levitating above an exploding, dusty beach. In this series, the footwear comes to life, serving as an analog to human emotion.
Baseline Looks
Alternate looks were captured for popouts and product detail pages. We focused on a color story for these looks capturing two versions of each style to give a versatile and fresh look for the product.
Additional Capture
Here are some additional images we took because they looked rad.
